West Point, N.Y. - Army sophomore baseball standout Kevin McKague was named to the College Baseball Foundation National Allstar Lineup for the weekend ending April 13.

McKague was one of 20 players recognized by the College Baseball Foundation and Diamond Sports for performances during Week eight of the collegiate baseball season. He also earned Patriot League Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.

A first baseman/designated hitter/pitcher from Fayetteville, N.C., McKague had a tremendous week, posting an .813 batting average by going 13-for-16 in four games. He scored eight times, knocked in six runs and registered a .789 on-base percentage to go along with a 1.000 slugging percentage.

McKague helped Army to a doubleheader sweep against arch-rival Navy on Sunday by going 6-for-7 at the plate with three runs batted in and four runs scored. He hit a monstrous 500-foot two-run home run in a 9-6 win in the all-important first game and then earned the save with a perfect inning of relief. He helped the Black Knights clinch the "star" with a 3-for-3 showing in a 6-0 victory in the nightcap.

For the season, McKague is second on the squad with a .408 average and four home runs while boasting a slugging percentage of .573 and an on-base percentage of .446.

Army, 16-16 overall, will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., this weekend for a key Patriot League series at Lehigh. Doubleheaders are scheduled for noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
