HAMILTON, N.Y. - Colgate sophomore Mike Hanlon (Ann Arbor, Mich.) finished first in a time of 25:25 in the 8K at the Binghamton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18. He led the Raider men to a second-place team finish with 37 points. Colgate's women's team placed third with 45 points.
Colgate's top finisher in the women's race was sophomore Hannah Failing (Deerfield, N.Y.), who placed fifth with a time of 19:49. Junior Lia Cross (Skaneateles, N.Y.) placed seventh with a time of 20:05, and freshman Sarah Miller (Niskayuna, N.Y.) finished 10th with a time of 20:21.
The Raiders' Nate Rosenthal (West Hartford, Conn.) placed fifth in the men's race with a time of 26:39, and sophomore Andrew Isabel (North Andover, Mass.) finished seventh with a time of 26:57.
Syracuse finished first in the men's race with 23 points and three of the top four individual finishers, and the host Bearcats placed third. For the women, Binghamton won the team title with 37 points, and Syracuse finished second with 41 points.
