WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Navy men's cross country team won the overall team championship at the Great American Legends race hosted by Purdue University Saturday afternoon led by Josh Sink (So./Welcome, N.C.), who finished second overall with a time of 25:29.

Also finishing in the top 10 for the Mids was senior Eric Eckstrand (Wilmington, Del.) in fifth place with a time of 25:43 followed by junior Barry Carmody (Elk Grove, Calif.) in eighth place with a time of 25:51.

"It is too early to pleased, but I think we may have a good team this year," Navy head coach Al Cantello said.

Navy finished first overall out of nine teams with 38 points, while Loyola (Ill.) finished second with 45 points and DePaul in third with 119 points.
