Dec. 3, 2008 - The American University women's track team defeated Ursinus but lost to Navy, Towson, and Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday night at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md. The Eagles had five top ten finishes at the meet, led by junior captain Greta Wicklund's 3rd place finish in the 3,000 meters.

Also recording top finishes for the Eagles were freshmen Tara Jakubik and Caitlin Pritchard, who finished 4th and 5th, respectively, in the 800m, and freshman Ashley Bembry-Kaintuck, who finished 8th place in the 60m dash.

The women's team will compete again on January 10, 2009 at the Naval Academy. The men's team will compete on Friday, December 5, also at the Navy Invitational.
