PRINCETON, N.J. -
Rachel Pena's fifth place finish in the hammer throw earned her All-East Honors and moved her up the NCAA East Regional list at the ECAC Championships on Saturday at Princeton's Weaver Stadium.
Pena, a sophomore, recorded a distance of 183' and set a new personal best in the event. The fifth place finish currently ranks as the highest for any Lafayette student-athlete competing at this weekend's championship.
Classmates Allyx Hunsberger ranked 22nd in the javelin with a toss of 122' 11'' and Elise Buffinton competed in the pole vault.
On Sunday, Joelle Neilson is scheduled to compete in the triple jump.
