CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The 2013 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Goodman Campus Track of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

It is the first time the event has been held at the complex since 2007, when the Army men and Bucknell women each won championships.

The weekend schedule begins on Friday with the opening events of the decathlon and heptathlon as well as finals in the field (hammer, pole vault, long jump, javelin) and on the track (10,000m, 4 X 800m relay). A jam-packed schedule on Saturday includes the completion of the decathlon and heptathlon, four more events on the field (high jump, discus, shot put, triple jump) and 22 total finals (11 men/11 women) on the track.

Bucknell and Navy have combined to win all six Patriot League titles since the start of the 2012 season. The Bison swept last year's indoor crowns, while the Bucknell men and Navy women won the 2012 outdoor titles. At this year's Indoor Championships on Feb. 15-17, it was the Navy men and Bucknell women that emerged victorious.

The Mids were picked first on both the men and women's side in the preseason coaches and sports information directors polls. If Navy lives up to that billing, it would sweep the titles for the first time in school history.

At the conclusion of the weekend, coaches will select individual winners to include a Male and Female Track Athlete, Field Athlete and Rookie of the Meet as well as Coach of the Year honorees. First-place finishers will earn first-team All-Patriot League status, while runner-up finishers take home second-team All-Patriot League honors.
