Center Valley, Pa. - All eight League teams were in action last weekend, as five League teams met at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Pa. Though there were no team scores from the meet, several Patriot League student-athletes qualified for NCAA Regionals and the IC4A and ECAC Championships. Student-athletes from Bucknell, Colgate, Army and Navy all earned Track and Field Athlete of the Week laurels.

M-F Athletic Male Track Performer of the Week
Andrew Huebner, Bucknell Jr., Hampton Falls, N.H.
Huebner took second place and qualified for NCAA Regionals with a time of 9:02.4 in the 3000m steeplechase at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic. The junior improved upon his time in the event from the previous week by 30 seconds.

Curry Knox, Colgate Sr., Seattle, Wash.
Knox ran a personal-best and school record time of 11.80 in the 100m dash at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic, nearly qualifying for NCAA Regionals in the process. Knox's time is the fastest time posted in the Patriot League this season and is also an ECAC-qualifying mark. The senior also took third place and ran a personal-best and school record time of 14.53 in the 100m hurdles, the fastest time in the League and another ECAC qualifying mark.

Trent Kraychir, Army Fr., Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Kraychir surpassed the NCAA Regional qualifying standard in the hammer throw with a toss of 58.21m (190' 11 1/2") at the annual Star Meet with Navy. Army won the meet, 117-85.
M-F Athletic Female Field Performer of the Week
Rebecca Frey, Bucknell So., Bethlehem, Pa.
Frey qualified for ECACs in the pole vault with a mark of 3.65m (11' 11 3/4"). The sophomore finished fourth in the event at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
M-F Athletic Male Rookie of the Week
Robert Arent, Bucknell Fr., New Providence, N.J.
Arent ran a personal-best 53.53 in the 400m hurdles at the team unscored Bucknell Outdoor Classic. In addition to winning the event, Arent qualified for IC4As as well.
M-F Athletic Female Rookie of the Week
Jess Palacio, Navy Fr., Sparks, Nev.
Palacio helped lead Navy to a 116-87 victory over archrival Army in the Star Meet with a win in the 800m run. The freshman posted a 2:17.76 time, finishing nearly nine full seconds ahead of Army's top performer in the event.

Army and Navy squared off in Annapolis for the annual Star Meet, where the Army men and the Navy women picked up victories. Finally, Holy Cross competed at the Northeastern Invite in Dedham, Mass. There were no team scores in the meet.
The Week Ahead
Most of the League teams will be competing this weekend. On Friday, Army, Colgate, Lafayette, Lehigh and the Navy women's team will compete at the Larry Ellis Invite in Princeton, N.J. at 10 a.m. Army and Lafayette will compete at the Ellis Invite for a second day on Saturday, while the Navy women's team will compete at the Kloiber Invite. American will split its squads and compete at the Morgan State and Mount St. Mary's Invites, while Bucknell will host the Bucknell Team Challenge. Colgate and Holy Cross will compete at a Holy Cross-hosted meet, while the Colgate women's team and both Lehigh teams will compete at the Moravian Invite in Bethlehem, Pa.

2009 Patriot League Championships
The 2009 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held at Army's Shea Stadium in West Point, N.Y., Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, 2009. Team Notebooks
American Carlos Jamieson qualified for NCAA Regionals for the second-consecutive year in the 1500m run at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic. After competing in the team unscored meet last week, the Eagles will head to a pair of invitationals at Morgan State and Mount St. Mary's all day on Saturday.
Army Army split the annual Star Meet with Navy, with the men picking up a win, 117-85, while the women fell, 116-87. With the win, the Army men completed a 2008-09 Star Meet sweep of cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field. The Black Knights next compete at the Larry Ellis Invite on Friday and Saturday.
Bucknell Sophomore Jamie Leacock took third place for the Bison women in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.66 as both teams competed at the team unscored Bucknell Outdoor Classic. The Bison next compete at the Bucknell Team Challenge on Saturday.
Colgate Senior Curry Knox now holds the Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium record in the 100m dash after competing at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic last weekend. The Raider women will compete at the Larry Ellis and Moravian Invites this weekend, while both teams will compete at Holy Cross on Saturday.
Holy Cross Senior Lauren Courtney won the 400m dash with a time of 58.46 seconds at the team unscored Husky Invite, qualifying her for the New England Championships. The Crusaders will host Colgate and five other teams in a meet in Worcester on Saturday.
Lafayette The Leopards competed at the team unscored Bucknell Outdoor Classic last weekend. Kyle Clayton placed fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.99. Lafayette will compete at the Larry Ellis Invite on Friday and Saturday.
Lehigh Scott Robinson crossed the finish line in 53.58 seconds in the 400m hurdles as both Mountain Hawk teams competed at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic. Lehigh will next compete at the Larry Ellis Invite on Friday and at the Moravian Invite on Saturday.
Navy The Navy men fell to Army, 117-85, while the Midshipmen women pulled out a 116-87 win over Army in the annual Star Meet. With the win, the Navy women have now opened the spring outdoor slate with four-straight dual-scored victories. The women will compete in the Larry Ellis Invite on Friday and the Kloiber Invite on Saturday. The Midshipmen men have no scheduled events this week.
