CLINTON, N.Y. - Members of the Colgate women's track and field team competed at Hamilton College on Wednesday, Apr. 6. The Raiders earned three victories, and seven top-three finishes.
Sophomore Hannah Failing (Deerfield, N.Y.) won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:20.22. Freshman Sarah Miller (Niskayuna, N.Y.) finished first in the 1,500-meter run, crossing the line in 5:14.58. Sophomore Nicole Christoforo (Rockland, Mass.) ran a personal-best 58.98 in the 400-meter dash to win that event. She also had a personal-best time of 27.24 in the 200-meter dash to finish second.
Junior Lisa Germain (Queensbury, N.Y.) came in right behind Christoforo in the 200, posting a time of 27:44. She finished fourth in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line in 13.22, and registered a third-place finish in the long jump, clearing 5.26 meters.
Sophomore Mary Pratt (Basking Ridge, N.J.) placed fifth in the 400-meter dash, turning in a time of 63.90. In the high jump, junior Emily Thomson (Billerica, Mass.) finished second with a leap of 4-11.75.
The entire Colgate squad will compete at Delaware this weekend, Apr. 8-9.
