Center Valley, Pa. - Army senior Brandon Thurman was named ECAC Division I Men's Indoor Track Co-Athlete of the Week, while Colgate senior Curry Knox was named ECAC Division I Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday. The distinction was the first for Thurman and the second for Knox this season.
Thurman qualified for IC4As and set an Army school record in the 500m run with a time of 1:03.25 at last week's Valentine Invitational. The senior was also a member of the 4 x 400m relay team that also qualified for IC4As with a time of 3:14.84.
Knox broke a Colgate record and ran a personal-best in the 60m dash with a time of 7.72 at the Lafayette-Rider Invite. The senior also qualified for the ECAC Championship and set a school record in the 60m hurdles, finishing the event in 8.81. Knox ran the 200 dash in 25.56 at the meet, the second-best time in Raider history.
