ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy women's indoor track & field team will run Saturday at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J.

Last weekend, the Mids captured first place at the Navy Tri-Meet by recording a team score of 196 to pace the field of four teams to improve their record to 6-1 on the indoor season.

Indoor team captain Joanne Uwujaren (Burke, Va.) registered first-place marks in both the long jump (18'4") and triple jump (37'9-1/2") for the Mids in the victory. Both marks are personal and team season-best marks for the season. Several individual career-best marks or times were set at the meet.

Sophomore Tineisha Davis (Madisonville, Ky.) also won two events in the meet for Navy. She ran season and team-best times in the 200 (26.20) and 400 (57.37) to lead the Navy sprinters.

"It will be a different type of meet for us, as it will feature a number of relays," Navy head coach Carla Criste said. "We'll use this opportunity to keep building team unity for the Army-Navy Star meet (Feb. 15). Led by our upperclassmen, I look forward to some solid individual performances in the field events."
