AMHERST, Mass. - Senior Kyle Mushaweh (Woodbury, Conn.) set a new Holy Cross record in the 200 meter dash to lead the Holy Cross men's track and field team on the first day of the New England Outdoor Championship in Amherst, Mass. Mushaweh finished 13th in the 200 with a time of 22.19 seconds, while senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished 18th with a time of 22.42 seconds.
Mushaweh also finished 13th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.15 seconds. Senior Kevin Lucid (New Providence, N.J.) crossed the line in 12th place in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:04.73, while senior Stephen Mandravelis (Nashua, N.H.) took sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.56 meters.
Holy Cross will continue competition at the New England Outdoor Championship on Saturday, May 9 starting at 10:00 a.m.
