Patriot League Announces Women's Track and Field Academic Honor Roll
Navy's Erica Ziel, the 2009 Patriot League Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is one of 165 women's track & field student-athletes named to this year's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Ziel is one of 10 student-athletes who claimed a 4.0 spring GPA. Also earning 4.0 spring GPAs were American's Greta Wicklund, Bucknell's Kelly Desharnais, Megan Hathaway, Jessica Hibbert and Caroline Strunk, Holy Cross' Margaret Mallory and Kelly Shaw and Lehigh's Jillian Randolph and Theresa Fromm.

Patriot League Announces Men's Track and Field Academic Honor Roll
The Patriot League released its 2009 Men's Track & Field Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday morning. Included among the 129 student-athletes on the list are eight who achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs in the spring semester: American's Jacob Shelley, Bucknell's Christopher Gabryluk and Kevin McGuire, Colgate's Michael Lam and Erik French, Holy Cross' Stephen Shoenberger, Lehigh's Chris Contino and Navy's Tim Gruber.

Three Patriot League Men's Track & Field Student-Athletes Named Academic All-Americans
Three Patriot League student-athletes named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-America Team, it was announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Army senior Kevin Kumlien was named a First-Team honoree, while his teammate, junior Andy Ferrara was placed on the Second Team. Navy junior Mark Van Orden was recognized as a Third-Team member.

Navy's Barnes and Colgate's Knox Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year Award
The Patriot League has forwarded the names of Navy's Lizzie Barnes and Colgate's Curry Knox as its nominees for the NCAA Woman of the Year honor. The Patriot League's senior woman administrators chose Barnes and Knox as nominees due to their excellence in the four areas of importance for the NCAA Woman of the Year award: service, leadership, athletics and academics.
