Houghton Starts Strong For Army Anne Houghton has started the 2009-10 season just the way she ended her last two collegiate campaigns. The strong start is just what she needs to continue her unprecedented run through the Patriot League. Houghton, as a junior, already has won three major Patriot League awards in two years. She became the first Patriot League women's tennis player to win major awards in back-to-back years. Houghton will look to become first Patriot League tennis player -- man or woman -- to win four major awards. If she accomplishes that, she'll have a chance to make it five since she was the first Patriot League player to win the Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year award in the same season (2008). She has a 5-1 singles records thus far in two tournaments this season. She now has 58 wins and is one away from moving into the top 10 in Army history.
