The first month of the fall tennis season is in the books, and every team has competed in at least one tournament thus far. On the men's side, Colgate junior Martin MacIntyre earns the first player of the month award, while Bucknell newcomer Lauren Lucido takes home the first player of the month award on the women's side.

Male Tennis Player of the Month
Martin MacIntyre, Colgate Jr., Arlington, Va.

MacIntyre finished the month of September with a singles record of 5-1, including a streak of five consecutive matches won. At the Brown Invitational, MacIntyre defeated Bucknell's top player 6-4, 6-4 to finish 10th overall. He also won the Flight 1 title at the ECAC South Championships, to help the Raiders to a third place team finish.

Female Tennis Player of the Month
Lauren Lucido, Bucknell Fr., Woodstock, Md.

Lucido had an impressive start to her collegiate career during the month of September, finishing 2-1 in singles play and 8-1 in doubles. Lucido and her partner won the No. 2 doubles flight at the ITA Eastern Championships, and also advanced to the finals of the Bucknell Invitational to end the month.

Honorable Mention

Ira Reibeisen, Bucknell Sr., Armonk, N.Y.
Reibeisen finished September with a 9-6 combined record. In the process, he moved into first place on the all-time victories list at Bucknell with 111.

Patriot League Fall Tennis Notes

Record Setter
Bucknell senior Ira Reibeisen recorded his 111th career victory at the Connecticut Invitational this past weekend, which vaulted him into first place on the all-time victory list at Bucknell. Reibeisen is currently tied for first atop the all-time singles victory list with 60, and is second on the all-time doubles victory list with 51.

ITA Regional Around the Corner
All seven Patriot League tennis programs will be sending representatives to the ITA Regional Championships during the second-to-last weekend in October. The Northeast Regional will take place in Princeton, N.J., while the Mid-Atlantic Regional will occur in Norfolk, Va.

Team Notebook

Army
The Army men and women have played in a tournament every weekend during the month of September, and will continue the trend in October. Freshman Caitlin Finnegan has been impressive for the Army women, finishing with a 6-1 singles record in the month of September.

Bucknell
The Bison will host the Bucknell Invitational during the weekend of Oct. 5-7, welcoming both men's and women's teams to Lewisburg for the event. For the men, Ira Reibeisen has led the way, while freshman Lauren Lucido has made her mark early with a 10-2 combined record during the September schedule.

Colgate
The Colgate men competed in the ECAC South Championship at Lehigh in late September, and placed third of 10 teams, the highest finish for a Patriot League team. Junior Martin MacIntyre has been solid thus far for the Raiders, finishing the month with a 5-1 singles mark. Sophomore Jackie Stimmel notched the top singles record for the women, finishing 6-3.

Holy Cross
The Crusaders had a busy month of September, competing in more dual matches than any other Patriot League school. The men and women both finished off the September schedule in style at Hartford, with the men winning 5-2, while the women recorded a victory by a 7-0 margin.

Lafayette
The Lafayette men finished the month of September with a victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) by a score of 7-0. Freshman Justin Haar has posted a 6-0 combined record thus far. The women were upended by Towson to end the month, and will return to action at St. Joseph's on Oct. 16.

Lehigh
The Mountain Hawks had one of the League's lighter schedules in Sept. The Lehigh men finished fourth at the ECAC South Championships, while the women finished first at the ECAC Open Championships. Both teams will participate in the Lehigh Tennis Invitational the weekend of Oct. 13-14.

Navy
The Midshipmen competed in three tournaments during the month of September. The Mids produced a winning record in singles matches at the UNC Invitational, and had four singles players advance to the championship rounds in their respective brackets. Jason Hill led the way, reaching the semifinal round in the "B" flight.
