BOSTON - With its 23rd conference tournament title secured, the Boston University women's tennis team will square off against 12th-seeded Miami in an NCAA opening-round match-up on Friday, May 9, in Coral Gables, Fla. Joining the Patriot League champion Terriers (14-6) and co-ACC regular season champion Hurricanes (17-5) at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center will be Oklahoma (16-6) and Wichita St. (19-6).

Guided by 29th-year head coach Lesley Sheehan, the Terriers earned an automatic bid by winning the Patriot League title with a 4-1 win over nine-time defending champion Army back on April 20. They will be making their 14th trip to the NCAA tournament.

Making its 19th straight NCAA appearance, Miami enters with an at-large bid after claiming a share of the ACC regular season title and advancing to the semifinals of the ACC Championships.

The Hurricanes will host BU in the NCAAs for the third time after the Terriers made visits in 2010 and 2006, respectively, as the America East champion. BU dropped both contests by identical scores of 4-0.

Ranked as high as 14th in the nation, Oklahoma is coming off a second round loss to Texas Tech in the Big 12 tournament. Current No. 54 Wichita State will be the second conference champion on site alongside the Terriers after winning the Missouri Valley Conference title on Sunday.
