PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The nationally-ranked Brown tennis team defeated Navy, 7-0, Sunday morning
in Providence, R.I.
Brown, who last weekend defeated 17th-ranked Wake Forest, swept the three doubles matches from
Navy and won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
"Brown is a very good team," said Navy head coach John officer. "They were ranked in the 40s
but should move into the 30s with their recent performances."
Navy's Davy Lee was the lone Mid to take a set from the Bears, but eventually fell in a very
tight match at No. 3 singles to Zachary Pasanen, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.
"Davy played very well for us today," said Officer. "He moved up in the lineup to No. 3 and
came up with our best match of the day."
Navy, now 6-6 on the season, will next be in action March 10 when the Midshipmen begin their
spring break trip with a match at Central Florida.
