Center Valley, Pa. — The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Nov. 15-22 in swimming and diving Monday.

In swimming and diving, Navy swept the Swimmer of the Week awards and Army swept the diving awards. Navy’s Mac Anthony was named the Male Swimmer of the Week and Laura Gorinski was named the Female Swimmer of the Week. Army’s Chris Nguyen and Katie Woodhams were named the divers of the week.

Male Swimmer of the Week
MAC ANTHONY, NAVY
Jr., Allentown, Pa.
Anthony logged three NCAA B-cut times during the Nike Cup in Chapel Hill, N.C. from Nov. 18-20, including two marks in the 500-yard freestyle. He finished fourth in the trials in 4:27.80, then took fourth in the finals with a clocking of 4:23.84, both eclipsing the B-cut standard. He touched the wall second in the 200 free with a B-cut time of 1:37.01. He is the first Patriot League male swimmer to eclipse an NCAA B-cut time this season.

Female Swimmer of the Week
LAURA GORINSKI, NAVY
So., Greensburg, Pa.
Gorinski posted a trio of NCAA B-cut times at the Nike Cup while breaking the Navy and Patriot League records in the finals of the 200 breaststroke in Chapel Hill. Her time of 2:13.09 bested the Academy mark of 2:13.51 that she’d set last season and the League record of 2:13.46 posted by Colgate’s Emily Murphy two years ago. She is the first female League swimmer to surpass an NCAA standard this season and helped the Mids take fifth at the Nike Cup.

Male Diver of the Week
CHRIS NGUYEN, ARMY
So., Cheshire, Conn.
Nguyen posted victories in the 1- and 3-meter diving events as the Black Knights took on Columbia Saturday at West Point. He set a season-high score of 289.20 from the 1-meter board, then posted another season-best of 298.27 in the 3-meter competition.

Female Diver of the Week
KATIE WOODHAMS, ARMY
Sr., Leesville, La.
Woodhams swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events in Army’s victory over C.W. Post on Friday evening. She netted a career-best 231.14 points from the 1-meter board and tallied a season-high 210.45 points in the 3-meter event. Army won the dual meet 141-133.

Honorable Mentions
OLAF OLSON, NAVY
Sr., Bainbridge, Wash.
Olson took second in the platform dive at the Nike Cup in Chapel Hill, N.C. last week with 292.05 points. He also finished third in the 3-meter and fifth in the 1-meter events against divers from schools such as North Carolina, Duke, Syracuse and West Virginia.

ERIN MCGRAW, COLGATE Sr., Penfield, N.Y.
McGraw tallied three individual first-place finishes and was part of Colgate’s winning 200 IM foursome in the Raiders’ 173-87 win over Duquesne. McGraw posted wins in the 100 and 200 back and the 200 IM.

SEAN MCNAMARA, AMERICAN Jr., Auburn, N.Y.
McNamara recorded three top-two finishes during the Patriot Invitational at George Mason, including a victory in the 100 free. His times in that event, along with the 50 and 200 free, were career bests.

MIKE NICHOLSON, BUCKNELL Fr., Chappaqua, N.Y.
Nicholson was the only Bison to win individual races at the Rutgers Invitational, taking the 200 and 400 IM titles and capturing second in the 200 breast. His 3:59.26 clocking in the 400 IM is the second-fastest on Bucknell’s all-time list.
