Center Valley, Pa.--After an undefeated weekend against three Patriot League foes, Navy claimed three of the League's four weekly awards. The Mids' men and wome topped American, Bucknell and Lafayette in Annapolis, Md.

Male Swimmer of the Week
Adam Meyer, Navy Sr., Bethesda, Md.
Meyer placed first in three events, including two individual wins. He helped Navy win the opening 200 meter medley relay by 0.09 seconds over another Navy foursome. Meyer swam the fasted third leg, completing the butterfly in 25.23 seconds. He won the 200 meter butterfly, clocking the ninth-fastest time in the event in Navy history at 2:01.94. He also broke his own Navy and Lejune Hall records by wining the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:23.23.
Female Swimmer of the Week
Tara Chapmon, Navy Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.
Chapmon finished first in four events, including three individual victories. She helped Navy win the 200 meter medley relay with a new school-record time of 1:57.14, breaking the old mark by more than one second. She broke school and pool records in the 200 meter freestyle and the 200 meter backstroke. Chapmon also won the 800 meter freestyle by just under seven seconds
Male Diver of the Week
Ben Nicholas, Navy So., Bothell, Wash.
Nicholas recorded his first career victory, winning the one-meter competition by 9.55 points. He tallied a 279.30 total in the event. He also finished fourth in the three-meter competition with a 237.40 total.
Female Diver of the Week
Kim Pilka, Colgate Fr., Great Falls, Va.
Pilka won both the one-meter and three-meter events against Boston College on Saturday. She produced a 258.60 score in the three-meter competition. She then finished second in both events against Boston University on Sunday, with her top score, 263.32, coming in the three-meter dive.
Honorable Mention Performances Last Week
David Magaro, Bucknell
Fr., Enola, Pa.
Magaro finished second off both boards against three Patriot League teams. He was the only diver to finish as high as second twice.
Allison FitzPatrick, Bucknell
Sr., Berwyn, Pa.
FitzPatrick scored Bucknell’s only diving victory, winning the three-meter event by 34.40 points. She also finished third in the one-meter competition.
Dan Sweeney, Colgate
Fr., New Canaan, Conn.
Sweeney won three events against Boston College and two races against Boston University. He won three individual events during the weekend. Sweeney broke the Colgate freshman record in the 50 meter freestyle.
Jordyn Nicholl, Navy
Fr., Acworth, Ga.
Nicholl won the one-meter diving event by 21.65 points. She also placed third overall against American, Bucknell and Lafayette.
Team Notebooks
American The Eagles lost to Navy and Bucknell on both the women’s side and in the men’s event in Annapolis, Md. The American women did score a 160-137 win over Lafayette. AU's best result of the day came in the 400 free relay, where the Eagles took home the victory in the event. American finished the race in 4:01.52, edging out Bucknell by just over two seconds. American will next compete at the George Mason Invitational starting Nov. 20.
Army The Black Knights’ men’s squad produced a 160-140 win over Connecticut, while the Army women dropped a 204-94 decision to the Huskies. For Army, sophomore Cody Reeb and sophomore Brody Blickle each won a pair of individual events, while freshman Alyssa Tran won three individual events to spearhead the women. Army will compete at Holy Cross on Wednesday.
Bucknell The Bison men and women each defeated American and Lafayette, while both units fell to Navy in Annapolis. David Magaro and Allison FitzPatrick provided strong performances on the diving boards. Magaro finished second overall in both the one-meter dive and the three-meter dive. FitzPatrick won the three-meter and finished third in the one-meter. Bucknell will travel to New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational starting Friday.
Colgate The Raiders picked up one win during their weekend in Boston. The Colgate women defeated Boston College by a 176-111 margin before falling to Boston University by a 184-114 count. On the men’s side, the Raiders dropped a 151-149 decision to Boston College on Saturday. Colgate also fell to Boston University, 190-105. The Raiders will be back in the pool on Nov. 22 against Dartmouth.
Holy Cross The Crusaders were idle during the most recent week of action. Most recently, the Holy Cross women’s team went 0-2 against Siena and Springfield, while the men’s team lost to Springfield. Maggie Gousman posted four individual wins for Holy Cross in the two dual meets. The Crusaders will return to the pool when they host Army at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Lafayette The Leopards went 1-2 on the men’s side and 0-3 in women’s competition over the weekend. Lafayette’s men’s squad defeated American, but lost to Bucknell and Navy. The Leopards fell to American, Bucknell and Navy on the women’s side in Annapolis. Kevin Oswalt was again victorious on the three-meter board. Oswalt totaled 285.35 points on the three-meter board to take the lone Leopard victory of the afternoon.
Lehigh The Mountain Hawks men’s team defeated Rider and NJIT to improve to 6-0 on the season. The Lehigh women fell to Rider but defeated NJIT. Lehigh’s freshmen men came through with strong performances against Rider as Frank Cuzzola and Tyler Lareau each won two individual events. The women’s breaststrokers had another strong day as senior Stephanie Naylor led a top-three sweep in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.40 with freshmen Emily DiDonato and Danielle Caruso finishing second and third respectively. Lehigh will face rival Lafayette on Nov. 20.
Navy The Midshipmen swept contests against American, Bucknell and Lafayette. Navy won 15 of 16 men’s events with 1 different Mids recording an individual win. On the women’s side, Toni Paruso broke a school record with her win in the 100 meter butterfly. Her time of 1:02.65 broke the three-year old standard of 1:02.77. Paruso also won the 200 meter butterfly and was part of the Mids’ record-setting 200 meter medly relay effort. The Navy women will next compete in the Terrapin Invitational starting Nov. 19, while the Navy men will take on Brown and Dartmouth on Nov. 21.
