Hamilton, N.Y. - The Colgate swimming and diving teams will take on Boston University in their second home dual meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1:00 p.m., at Lineberry Natatorium.
The women's swimming and diving squad is looking to rebound from a heartbreaking loss to Boston College last weekend, 151-149. Colgate's women have been unsuccessful against the visiting Terriers in their first nine tries and are looking for an upset to set the tone as they begin their Patriot League schedule next weekend. BU enters the weekend with a record of 1-0 after winning their first meet against America East leaguemate Binghamton. The women's team will look for more strong performances from sophomores Beverly Walker (Marietta, Ga.) and Emily Murphy (Syracuse, N.Y.), who have received Patriot League awards over the last two weeks for their strong performances in the Raiders' first two meets.
The men's team is looking for its first win after losing its first two meets to Syracuse and BC. They will look to turn things around this weekend against a winless BU team that dropped its season-opener to Binghamton, 172-112. Since the season's start, senior tri-captain Greg Dunlavey (Oak Park, Ill.) has been swimming well: in last weekend's meet against BC, he won two individual events and led off two winning relays.
Patriot League competition kicks off next weekend on Nov. 4, with a three-way dual meet for the women against Navy and Lehigh, while the men square off against Lehigh in Annapolis.
