Bucknell Places Second Most in Patriot League on Women's Swimming and Diving Academic Honor Roll
July 28, 2005 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's swimming and diving team placed 21 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the league office Thursday. The 21 Honor Roll members were second to Lehigh's 23 for the most among women's swimming and diving teams. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter. Highlighting the Bison honored were senior Jackie Feinthel and sophomore Rebecca Scheffter. Feinthel, a management major, was one of just five women's swimming and diving student-athletes to obtain a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Scheffter is an English major with a 3.66 grade-point average and was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's swimming and diving in April. Elsewhere around the league, American had 13 Honor Roll members, Holy Cross 10, Colgate eight, Army seven, Lehigh seven and Navy six. Bucknell paced the Patriot League with 199 total student-athletes earning positions on the Honor Roll.
