Army junior swimmer Zach Disbrow (Orinda, Calif./Campolindo), American sophomore swimmer Meghan Thiel (Arlington, Va./Yorktown), Navy junior diver Kevin Teague (Lexington, Ky./Dunbar), and Army senior diver Chelsea Haviland (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln) were honored as the Patriot League swimming and diving athletes of the week for the week of Jan. 23-29.

Disbrow won two individual events and helped two relay teams to victories in the George Mason Quad Meet. He also won two individual events in a dual meet win over George Washington (165-64). In the George Mason Quad Disbrow won the 100-yard fly (50.70), the 200-yard fly (1:51.94). He also helped the 400-yard medley relay (3:29.02) and the 400-yard free relay (3:09.14) teams to wins. In the meet versus George Washington he won the 200-yard free (1:45.76) and the 500-yard free (4:51.11).

American's Kevin Falkenstein (Westmont, N.J./Heddon Township), Bucknell's Todd Bauer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton), and Navy's Tyler Hill (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek) were also nominated for male swimmer of the week.

Thiel was selected for Female Swimmer of the Week for winning two individual events and finishing third in another at the George Mason Quad Meet. She won the 500-yard free (5:04.95) and the 1,000-yard free in a time of 10:14.05 defeating her nearest competitor by over 11 seconds. She also finished third in the 200-yard free (1:56.22)

Bucknell's Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore), Holy Cross' Maddie Alanis (La Jolla, Calif./Our Lady of Peace) and Navy's Kelly Zahalka (Richmond, Va./Walker's Governors School) were also nominated for female swimmer of the week.

Teague was named Male Diver of the Week after winning both the one and three-meter diving events in Navy's dual meet win over Penn (140.5-100.5). Teague won the three-meter with a score of 353.78, defeating his nearest competitor by 53 points. He also won the one-meter by 26 points (325.50).

Army's Doug Klein (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) and Bucknell's Adam Freeman (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) were also nominated for male diver of the week.

Haviland was selected as Female Diver of the Week for winning both the one and three-meter diving events at the George Mason Quad Meet and in a dual meet with George Washington. At the George Mason Quad she won the one-meter with a score of 261.90 and also captured the three-meter event (271.90). She then won against George Washingon in the one-meter (261.90) and the three-meter (271.90).

Bucknell's Lauren Thomas (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) and Navy's Katie Griffin (Ellicott City, Md./Seton Keough) were also nominated for female diver of the week.
