Four of the eight Patriot League teams were back in action this past week. Navy men and Bucknell competed in dual meets, while American and Lehigh kicked off their semesters with invitationals. Army, Colgate and Bucknell return next week to compete in a meet against each other. Lafayette will not be hitting the pools until Jan. 17 when the Leopards face America East foes Binghamton and Stony Brook.

While it has been a mild January for the Northeast, American and Lehigh traveled to warmer climates last week. American found themselves in the sunshine state to compete at the Florida International Invitational facing six opponent teams including Iowa and Maryland. Lehigh hopped a plane to California, where the Mountain Hawks took part in the University of California-Irvine's Ayres Hotel & Suites Sprint Invitational and competed against schools like Wyoming, Texas A&M and San Diego.
