Patriot League vs. Patriot League Competition
A handful of events featured multiple Patriot League teams in the field in September. It started on the first full weekend on Sept. 8-9, where Lehigh (2nd) was ahead of Bucknell (3rd) and Colgate (7th) at the Colgate Invitational and Navy (6th) came in ahead of Lafayette (8th) at the Navy Fall Classic on the men's side, with Lehigh (6th) one spot ahead of Bucknell (7th) at the women's Bucknell Invitational. The next weekend, Lehigh won the men's Bucknell Invitational by one spot over the Bison with Colgate recording a sixth-place showing. Perhaps the biggest statement was made at the Army-Navy Star Meet, with the Black Knights recording a convincing 8.5-2.5 win over the Mids in the Ryder Cup-style competition.
