CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Thirty-four student-athletes have been named to this year's Patriot League Men's Golf Academic Honor Roll, including 2013 Scholar-Athlete of the Year Chris House of Navy.
House, a junior who won the individual title at the Patriot League Men's Golf Championship in addition to being named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, added another major accomplishment by achieving a 4.00 grade-point average in the spring semester. He was one of five student-athletes to reach a GPA of 4.00 or better in the spring, with Colgate's Jake Caldwell and Alex Lagowitz and Lafayette's Josh Feinberg and David Kafafian also pulling off the feat.
House, Kafafian, Army's Robby Hill, Bucknell's Schuyler Stitzer and Holy Cross' Steve Zychowski each made the Academic Honor Roll after also comprising the Academic All-Patriot League Team last month.
Bucknell and Navy led all Patriot League schools with eight student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll, while Lafayette had six and Colgate and Holy Cross each recorded four.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
