WEST POINT, N.Y. - The team and individual leaderboards are both tight after 36 holes were completed at the Patriot League Men's Golf Championship on Saturday at West Point Golf Course.

Loyola University Maryland shot a 10-over 570 (287-283) on the opening day to take a five-stroke lead over host Army at 575 (295-280). Navy (586), Lehigh (594), Colgate (603), Bucknell (605), Holy Cross (616) and Lafayette (618) followed in order in the standings.

The top three squads all featured a player going under par over the first 36 holes, with Navy's August Jonas leading the way at 2-under 138 (69-66). Army's Peter Kim and Loyola's Jimmy Dengler are each one shot back at 1-under after shooting a 66 and 68, respectively, in the afternoon. Four other players linger within five shots of the lead, with Lehigh's Harley Abrams and Loyola's Brendan Lemp at 2-over and Army's Justin Paglia and Colgate's Chris Wilson at 3-over.
