BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After falling by just three strokes at the inaugural Patriot League Women's Golf Championship last season, Bucknell flipped the script and won by that same margin over Boston University to claim its first title at the 2014 League Championship at Saucon Valley Country Club on Sunday.

The Bison came into the day leading Lehigh by one stroke after the opening 36 holes on Saturday, but ended up having to hold off a charge from the Terriers on the final 18. Bucknell shot a 311 on Sunday to finish at 930 (+66) for the tournament, placing ahead of the Terriers who put up the best round of the tournament at 302 on Sunday to finish at 933 (+69). Defending champion Lehigh fell to 939 (+75) for the tournament with a 319 on Sunday, while Navy finished at 1028 for fourth place and Holy Cross was in fifth at 1174.

While the Mountain Hawks slipped to third place, Lehigh's Crystal Lee maintained her hold on the individual lead to take first place with an 8-over 224 for the weekend. Lee was named Patriot League Golfer of the Year by virtue of winning the individual title.

Boston University's Kristyna Pavlickova finished in second place with a 10-over 226, while Bucknell showed its depth by taking the next three spots on the leaderboard. Lauren Bernard was third with a 12-over 228, Bridget Wilcox was two shots back with a 230 and Kasha Scott was in fifth with a 235 along with Boston University's Adela Cejnarova, who was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year as the highest finishing freshman in the field. That quartet joined Lee and Pavlickova to make the first-team All-Patriot League squad.

The next four finishers made the second-team All-Patriot League squad as Boston University's Emily Tillo and Navy's Renata Bucher tied for seventh at 238 and Lehigh's Nicole Feierberg and Kelly Moylan each finished ninth at 240.

Boston University's Bruce Chalas was named Patriot League Coach of the Year after leading the Terriers to a runner-up finish in their first season in the League.
