Darlene Gordon
Gordon joined the Patriot League in August 2007 as the Director of Championships and Business Operations - a newly created position. She is primarily responsible for the planning and administration of 21 of the 22 Patriot League championships. She also oversees the Patriot League Women's Basketball Tournament. Other responsibilities include management of League equipment and / or ball contracts, budget management of full field championships and student-athletes gifts. Gordon arrived at the Patriot League office after serving jointly at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) office and the Mid-American Conference since 2006. At NACDA she oversaw the operations of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association partnership and was the program manager for a variety of award programs. She held the role of Women's Basketball Operations Assistant and Community Outreach Director for the Mid-American Conference. Gordon also served as a transportation coordinator for the 2007 NCAA Women's Final Four. Prior to entering the arena of college athletics, Gordon was the owner and president of KGG Consulting Inc., managing her business from 1994-2005. KGG Consulting Inc. was an organization that aided physically and mentally challenged individuals to find employment and training opportunities. Gordon also developed workshops for incoming rookies for the Cleveland Browns training camp. Gordon received her bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Public Law in Government. In 2009, she completed the NACWAA/HERS Institute for Administrative Advancement, which enhances and provides the tools for increased administrative advancement. A member of NACWAA and on the Board of Directors for Minority Opportunities Athletic Association, Gordon and her husband Michael, have two children - Kennedi and Michael II.
