The first Patriot League title for any team at Loyola University Maryland came in decisive fashion on Saturday, Apr. 26 as the top-seed Greyhounds cruised to an 18-7 win over third-seed Boston University in the championship of the 2014 Women's Lacrosse Tournament at the Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore, Md.

The Greyhounds (14-4), who won their 12th game in a row overall and finished 8-0 in the Patriot League, will advance to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season.

Marlee Paton earned the Patriot League Tournament Most Valuable Player award as she led Loyola with five goals in the championship game.
