Lehigh became the first school in Patriot League history to capture the football, men's basketball and men's lacrosse titles in the same academic year after the typically defensive-minded Mountain Hawks exploded for 16 goals and held on for a 16-14 win at Colgate to claim the school's first men's lacrosse tournament title. Dante Fantoni earned Tournament MVP honors in leading Lehigh's championship charge, but the weekend might be best remembered for the record-breaking performances of Colgate junior Peter Baum, who tallied 18 points in two games to shatter a handful of tournament marks.
Lehigh's 11-7 win at Bucknell on April 12 wrapped up the No. 1 seed and hosting duties for the 2013 tournament for the Mountain Hawks.
