Bucknell won the regular season and the right to host all rounds of the Patriot League Tournament, but it was second-seeded Lehigh, on the back of an MVP performance from junior standout C.J. McCollum, that ended up championship trophy after an 82-77 win in Lewisburg, Pa., on March 7 in a game televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. It was a memorable win for the Mountain Hawks, but it was quickly overshadowed by an even larger achievement - their victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament over No. 2 seed Duke.
Bucknell also achieved postseason success. Despite falling in the Patriot League championship game, the Bison earned a bid to the NIT where they upset No. 1 seed Arizona on the road in the first round.
