CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Bucknell earned two Patriot League men’s soccer weekly awards while Boston University, Lehigh and Navy received one honor apiece, when the League office announced results on Monday.
Bison freshman forward Eddie Perez-Pelaez was named both offensive player and rookie of the week, while Lehigh junior Trevor Koski earned midfielder of the week honors. Sophomore Matt Nocita from Navy received defensive player of the week accolades and Boston University junior Mike Stone nabbed goalkeeper of the week.
Army West Point junior midfielder Christian Takaki, Colgate freshman forward Drew Fischer, Lehigh senior goalkeeper Will Smith and senior defender Zarin Tuten, and Navy senior midfielder Ethan Singer all were placed on the honorable mention list.

* The freshman started the weekend off with the equalizer in the eventual 2-1 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson followed by two goals in the 4-1 win at Canisius.

* Koski scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win over Manhattan on Friday night.
* The junior’s goal came in the 55th minute and is the second of his career.
PATRIOT LEAGUE MEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

* Nocita nabbed his first career goal in the 3-1 victory against UNC Asheville.
* The sophomore was part of the defensive line that held UNC Asheville to just eight shots and one shot on goal in the game.

* Stone finished the Terriers’ opening weekend with 15 total saves in goal.

* Singer notched his first career goal in the Mids’ season-opening victory against UNC Asheville (3-1). The goal came in the 42nd minute and proved to be the game-winning goal.
