Patriot League Announces 140 Student-Athletes Named to 2018 Men’s Soccer Academic Honor Roll

Full Men's Soccer Academic List 

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –
The Patriot League’s 10 men’s soccer programs combined to place 140 student-athletes on the 2018 Patriot League Men’s Soccer Academic Honor Roll when the League office released the list on Wednesday.
 
To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League’s seven fall championship sports, including men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.
 
American placed a League-high 21 student-athletes on the academic honor roll while Colgate had 18 make the list. Boston University and Lafayette followed closely with 16 apiece as Holy Cross and Loyola Maryland placed 15 each on the list. Lehigh (14), Bucknell (12), Navy (7) and Army West Point (6) round out the list.
 
All 11 members of the 2018 Academic All-Patriot League squad made the honor roll, including the men’s soccer scholar-athlete of the year, Loyola Maryland senior midfielder Gabriel Carlsson.
 
The 10 men’s soccer programs also placed 18 of the 33 2018 All-Patriot League first-, second- and third- team selections on the academic honor roll, including defensive player of the year Aram Ouligan (Colgate, Sr.) and goalkeeper of the year Chase Vosvick (Loyola Maryland, So.).
 
Eleven student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester, including Army West Point sophomore Matt Flynn, Boston University junior Schuyler Fuchsman, Bucknell senior Ryan Ott and sophomore Jokubas Uznys, Lafayette junior Adam Bramson and freshman Luke McDonald, Lehigh rookie Dawson Berger and junior Ian Marshall, Loyola Maryland senior Mohamed Abdourahman and sophomore Jacob Denison, and Navy junior Ben Nicholas.
