Patriot League Women’s Basketball Among the Nation’s Best in GSR and FGR
Eight Patriot League women’s basketball programs – American, Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, and Loyola Maryland -- posted perfect 100-percent graduation success rate (GSR) scores when the NCAA released the data in early November. The League average GSR score for men’s basketball is 94-percent, finishing 13th among the national leaders. Colgate and Lehigh women’s basketball also had a perfect federal graduation rate (FGR) as the Patriot League finished second with an average FGR score of 79-percent. The graduation rates are for the most recent recorded graduating class that entered school in 2011.
Patriot League Women’s Basketball in NCAA DI Top 50
Holy Cross junior forward Lauren Manis is ranked 13th in the NCAA DI Top 50 stats with 21.6 points per game and is tied for fifth in rebounds per game with 12.7. Three more League players are in the top 50 for rebounds per game, including; Army West Point junior forward Madison Hovren (9th, 12.5), Lafayette sophomore forward Natalie Kucowski (T-15th, 11.6) and Loyola Maryland junior guard Stephanie Karcz (47th, 9.7). In double-doubles, Manis and Hovren are tied in the eighth spot with nine double-doubles, while Kucowski sits tied in the 15th spot with eight.

Patriot League Weekly Awards (12.31.18)
For the second time this season Holy Cross swept the women’s basketball weekly awards, as junior forward Lauren Manis earned Patriot League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors and rookie guard Avery LaBarbera was selected as rookie of the week, as announced by the League office on Monday. Manis and LaBarbera each received honors for the third time this season. Manis posted a team-leading 22-points to go with eight rebounds and four assists in the Crusaders’ win over Bryant, while teammate LaBarbera notched 13 points, eight boards and four steals in the game.
