Final Four - Patriot League Top Play of the Year Challenge

Fans can vote on Twitter to pick the top play of the year

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League Network (PLN) Top Plays of the Year Challenge is down to four plays and fans can vote on the Final Four right now on Twitter (@PatriotLeagueTV).

Bucknell's Cora Climo had the top seed in the bracket with her overtime goal in the Patriot League women's soccer championship in the fall, and she advanced to face another Bucknell Bison as 13th-seeded Brett Smith and his game-tying home run cruised to a win in the Elite 8.

In the other semifinal, seventh-seeded Sarita Condie and her desperation game-winning 3 to advance Navy to the Patriot League women's basketball final will go up against 11th-seeded Ricky Brown and his diving stop to give Colgate the Patriot League men's soccer title.

Brown beat out the best play in men's lacrosse this season by a very slim margin, getting less than 10 more votes than David Symmes in a poll that showed a 50-50 split on Twitter.

The contest, which began last week, features top plays from the Patriot League Network’s weekly “Top Three Plays” segments from throughout the academic year. All top plays were placed at random into a bracket of 16. Each round lasts about three days with fan voting to be conducted via the Patriot League Network’s official Twitter account - @PatriotLeagueTV.
