WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman placekicker Jeffrey Kordenbrock connected on a 43-yard field goal as time expired to lift Lafayette to a 10-7 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon at Fitton Field. The Leopards held the Crusaders to a season-low seven points to clinch its first win of the season.
*After a scoreless first quarter, Holy Cross got on the board first on an eight-yard touchdown run from sophomore running back Miles Alexander at the 11:47 mark in the second quarter.
*Lafayette answered with nine seconds remaining in the third quarter when freshman quarterback Sean O’Malley found senior wide receiver Rocco Palumbo on a 32-yard touchdown pass.
*Lafayette set up the game-winning field goal, as the defense stuffed a fourth-down and one yard at the Holy Cross 33 with 1:42 remaining in the game. Four plays later Kordenbrock hit the game-winning field goal.
*O’Malley competed 27-of-40 passes for 226 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions, while Holy Cross senior quarterback Peter Pujals completed 26-of-47 for 191 yards.
*Lafayette senior linebacker Brandon Bryant finished with a game-high 15 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack. Senior linebacker Michael Root had nine tackles and 0.5 of a sack.
*Holy Cross junior linebacker Ryan Brady finished with 10 tackles and 2.0 TFLs. Andre Chevalier had four tackles, 3.0 TFLs and 2.0 sacks for the Crusaders.

ITHACA, N.Y. – Freshman quarterback Grant Breneman passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another to help Colgate defeat Cornell, 21-7 in the 99th meeting between the two programs. The Raiders defense intercepted four passes and sacked the Big Red’s quarterback nine times. The victory snaps a three-game slide for the Raiders.
*Breneman completed 13-of-21 for 119 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 25 yards and another touchdown. Sophomore Alex Matthews rushed for 78 yards on 20 carries.
*Junior wide receiver Thomas Ives caught a seven-yard touchdown pass with 10:42 remaining in the second quarter to break a scoreless tie. Later in the quarter, Breneman rushed in from eight yards to put the Raiders in front 14-0.
*Cornell scored late in the third quarter, but Breneman answered in the fourth with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Malik Twyman setting the eventual final score, 21-7.
*Sophomore defensive back Abu Daramy-Swaray finished with 10 tackles and one interception, while Nick Ioanilli had nine tackles, 1.0 TFL and 1.0 sack for a defense that limited Cornell to 1.6 yards per rush attempt.

HARVARD CRIMSON (2-1, Ivy) 41 AT GEORGETOWN HOYAS (1-3, 0-0 PL) 2

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senior running back Isaac Ellsworth had 282 all-purpose yards for Georgetown, but the Hoyas struggled against Harvard in a 41-2 loss on Saturday afternoon at RFK Stadium.
*Junior quarterback Clay Norris completed 13-of-29 passes for 129 yards.
*Junior defensive back Blaise Brown led Georgetown’s defense with two interceptions, including one in the end zone, to go along with nine tackles. Senior safety David Akere also had nine tackles for the Hoyas. Senior cornerback Jake Johnson had three pass breakups.
*The Hoyas lone points came on a safety when a Harvard snap went over the punter’s head and out of the back of the end zone.

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore quarterback John Chiarolanzio  completed 19-of-34 passes for 204 yards and one touchdown, but Bucknell fell into an early hole and could not climb out in a 35-13 loss to Monmouth on Saturday night.
*Chiarolanzio tossed a three-yard touchdown pass to junior tight end Marcus Ademilola in the second quarter to cut the deficit to eight points, at 14-6. Monmouth would score the next three touchdowns to put the game away.
*Freshman running back Marquis Carter scored a three-yard rushing touchdown with 11:26 remaining in the game for the Bison’s final score.
*Senior wide receiver Jack Horan had four catches for 95 yards to lead Bucknell.
*Freshman safety Brandon Benson had a career-high 15 tackles, 1.0 TFL, 1.0 sack and a forced fumble in the loss.

BRONX, N.Y. – Senior running back Chase Edmonds returned from injury to rush for 83 yards on 16 carries, but Fordham could not keep pace with Yale in a 41-10 loss on Saturday night at Coffey Field.
*Senior quarterback Kevin Anderson completed 13-of-28 for 140 yards for the Rams.
*The Rams fell behind 21-0 on three first quarter touchdowns from Yale. Andrew Mevis finally put Fordham on the scoreboard with 10:43 remaining in the second quarter on a 31-yard field goal.
*Yale continued to roll, building up a 41-3 lead into the fourth quarter, before freshman running back Zach Davis scored on a 20-yard rushing touchdown to make the score 41-10.
*Senior defensive back Caleb Ham finished with nine tackles and one interception to lead Fordham’s defense.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Freshman wide receiver Jorge Portorreal set career-highs with eight catches and 132 yards, while senior wide receiver Troy Pelletier had six catches for 143 yards, but Lehigh could not overcome three second half Wagner touchdowns in a 37-20 loss in Staten Island.
*Junior running back Dom Bragalone rushed for a season-high 102 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns.
*Junior quarterback Brad Mayes completed 18-of-45 passes for 306 yards and five interceptions.
*Lehigh took an early lead behind a 26-yard touchdown run from Bragalone and regained the lead with a second quarter touchdown rush from Mayes, making the score 14-7
Wagner took a 17-14 lead into halftime, before expanding the lead to 31-14 early in the third quarter.
*Bragalone scored once more for Lehigh with 4:23 remaining in the third quarter.
