CENTER VALLEY, Pa.– The Patriot League will have four contests broadcast on American Sports Network this fall, including a pair of football games and one men’s soccer and women’s volleyball match.
The Patriot League fall slate on ASN begins on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. with a men’s soccer matchup between Army West Point and Navy from Talen Energy Center in Chester, Pennsylvania. The rivals will face off at the neutral site for the fifth year in a row, with the Black Knights winning last year’s matchup 2-1 after Navy had gone 2-0-1 in the previous three meetings in Chester.
Volleyball takes center stage the following week on ASN as three-time defending Patriot League champion American visits Army West Point on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. The Eagles defeated the Black Knights in three sets in last year’s Patriot League Championship, and have won the last seven meetings between the schools. American went 16-0 in Patriot League action last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
A pair of Patriot League football contests will be televised on ASN to wrap up the fall schedule, with Lehigh at Holy Cross on Oct. 22 and Fordham at Bucknell to close the regular season on Nov. 19. Both games will kick off at Noon. The matchups pit some of the top offensive performers in the Patriot League. Senior quarterbacks face off when Lehigh’s Nick Shafnisky takes on Holy Cross’ Peter Pujals, while Fordham junior running back Chase Edmonds is a returning first-team All-American and Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year. The Rams have advanced to the FCS playoffs in each of the last three seasons.
