CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Sept. 23-29 in women’s soccer, men’s soccer, field hockey, volleyball and cross country.

BRINE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SARAH BRESETTE, BUCKNELL Fr., F, Andover, Mass.
Bresette had the best game of her young career Friday night when she posted her first multi-goal effort in the Bison’s come-from-behind 3-2 overtime victory at Lehigh. Bucknell trailed 2-0 at the half, but Bresette scored the tying goal in the 63rd minute and added the game-winner with a long strike from the right side in extra time. Not only was it a critical League victory for Bucknell, but it marked just the second time in program history that the Bison overcame a two-goal deficit to win.

EMILY WILKIN, NAVY Sr., D, Westerville, Ohio
Wilkin led the Mid defense to its fourth consecutive clean sheet and League-best seventh of the season in Saturday’s 1-0 triumph at Lafayette. The senior defender from Westerville, Ohio, played the full 90 minutes and helped lead a stingy defense that held the Leopards to three total shots, only one on goal, and three corner kicks. Navy’s team goals-against average dipped to a paltry 0.72, third lowest in the League. Wilkin has played in 810 of her team’s 1,006 minutes this season, and picks up her first career weekly honor from the League.

CHARLENE BELANGER, AMERICAN Jr., GK, Alexandria, Va.
Belanger backstopped the Eagles to 2-0 and a first-place tie in the Patriot League with five saves in the Eagles’ 1-0 victory at Holy Cross on Saturday. The junior keeper has 41 saves in 662:37 over nine appearances, while upping her save percentage to .854 and dipping her goals-against average to 0.95. It’s her second BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week nod this season. The Eagles host 2-0 Navy on Wednesday afternoon.

ERICA KOSIENSKI, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Fr., F, Plantsville, Conn.
Kosienski picks up her third Rookie of the Week honor after her 38th-minute strike led the Terriers to a 1-0 victory at Army on Saturday afternoon. The rookie from Plantsville, Conn., notched her team-leading third goal of the season, all of which are game-winners. Saturday’s victory was Boston University’s first in Patriot League play and lifted them into a fourth-place tie through two matches. Kosienski’s three goals are the most for a Terrier rookie since current senior Emma Clark totaled five in 2010.

Scored a pair of goals last week including what stood as the game-winner in the Eagles’ 1-0 win at Holy Cross on Saturday.

JAMIE DUBYOSKI, NAVY So., F, Catonsville, Md.
Dubyoski, who was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on Monday morning, picks up his first career weekly honor from the Patriot League after netting a pair of game-winning goals last week. He scored what stood as the game-winner in the 10th minute of the Mids’ 2-0 clean sheet at ACC foe Virginia Tech on Tuesday. In Saturday’s League opener at home against Boston University, Dubyoski struck again with the game’s only marker in the 28th minute to give Navy a 1-0 triumph. The sophomore from Catonsville, Md., is riding a four-game goal-scoring streak, and has six goals and 13 points on the year.

EVAN HEROUX, COLGATE Jr., D, Westfield, N.J.
Heroux played an excellent all-around game on Saturday, contributing at key times on both sides of the ball to give the Raiders a 1-0 victory over defending Patriot League champion Lafayette. He tallied the game’s only goal in the 55th minute following a corner kick. Ethan Kutler played a high ball into the box that was headed by Frankie Bergonzi before Heroux headed a redirection into the net. With 15 minutes remaining in the game Heroux came up with a huge defensive play, blocking the net from an Andrew Gonzalez one-timer after a free kick to preserve the lead.

BILLY KNUTSEN, AMERICAN Sr., GK, San Francisco, Calif.
Knutsen, the League’s reigning Goalkeeper of the Year, earns his first weekly award of his senior season after making seven saves in American’s 2-0 blanking of Lehigh on Saturday afternoon in Washington. It’s his third shutout in four games and gave the Eagles, who have hosted each of the last two League Tournaments, to a victory in their League opener. Knutsen has played every minute of the season between the posts, and dropped his goals-against average to 0.83 in the win.

JOE IRAOLA, AMERICAN Fr., F, Mahopac, N.Y.
Iraola came alive with his first career multi-goal effort, notching both tallies in the Eagles’ 2-0 victory over Lehigh in the Patriot League opener on Saturday afternoon. The Mahopac, N.Y., native first found the goal in the 35th minute with a 15-yard strike in the box off a pass from classmate Michael Cherry, and added the insurance marker off a feed from senior Patrick Mehlert in the 55th minute. Iraola, who collects his first career weekly honor, leads American with three goals and is second on the team with six points.

Made five saves, with four in the second half, to preserve Army’s 2-0 win over Bucknell on Saturday in the League opener.

Netted the game-winner in the 87th minute in the Crusaders’ 2-1 win at Loyola Maryland on Saturday afternoon.
GAVIN SNYDER, NAVY Sr., GK, Severna Park, Md.
Went 2-0 with two shutouts and eight total saves in his first two starts of the season in wins over Virginia Tech and Boston University. Helped the Mids to post three straight shutouts for the first time since 2000.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RACHEL MISKO, BUCKNELL Sr., F, Morristown, N.J.
Misko recorded a hat trick to lead Bucknell to a five-goal second half for a 6-2 win over Colgate on Saturday. She tallied her first goal less than five minutes into the second half to even the score at 2-2, then put the Bison ahead when she connected with a penalty stroke just over three minutes later. Misko completed the hat trick with just over seven minutes left when she put Bucknell up 5-2. The six points were a career-high for Misko, who ranks second on the Bison with 11 points this year (5 G, 1 A). She is named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season and second in her career.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
GRACE WILSON, AMERICAN Jr., D, Ann Arbor, Mich.
Wilson had another outstanding game for the Eagles, helping hold No. 20 Boston University scoreless into overtime before tallying the only goal of the 1-0 final in the 82nd minute to send American to a key Patriot League win. She collected a rebound on a penalty corner and fired it in for the winning goal. Wilson helped preserve American’s third shutout of the year as the Eagles held the Terriers scoreless despite giving up 22 shots. She is named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight time and third this season.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
ASHLEY DALISERA, AMERICAN Sr., GK, Millersville, Md.
Dalisera stopped all 12 shots she faced to lead the Eagles to a 1-0 overtime win at No. 20 Boston University on Saturday. Nine of the saves came in the second half to help the Eagles send the game to overtime, where they won it in the 82nd minute. Dalisera posted her second shutout of the season, and is named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this year and sixth in her career.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MARISSA GLATT, LEHIGH Fr., F/M/D, Doylestown, Pa.
Glatt had two goals and an assist in two games last week, and has now scored a point in eight consecutive games with at least one goal in seven of those contests. Her six-game goal streak was snapped when she had an assist in a 4-1 loss to Lafayette on Saturday, but Glatt picked back up with both of Lehigh’s goals in a 4-2 defeat against La Salle on Sunday. She has had a hand in the last five Lehigh goals over the past four games, with four goals and an assist in that span. Glatt leads the Patriot League with eight goals and 17 points this season, and is named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time.
SHELLY MONTGOMERY, AMERICAN Sr., M, Fairfax, Va.
Montgomery played a key role on defense in American’s 1-0 win over No. 20 Boston University on Saturday, as she helped keep the Terriers scoreless despite 22 shot attempts.
BRITTANY BLASS, LAFAYETTE Jr., D, Mountain Top, Pa.
Blass had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Lehigh on Saturday.
ANNE FRUITEMA, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., M, The Hague, Netherlands
Fruitema had two goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-1 win over Hofstra on Sunday.
YSI SCHIEB, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., D, Gold Coast, Australia
Schieb had two assists in a 3-1 win over Hofstra on Sunday, and helped the defense allow only one goal in each contest over the weekend.

MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JULIE CRUM, AMERICAN Sr., OH, Hacienda Heights, Calif.
Crum collects her second straight weekly award after leading American to a 3-0 week, including victories in the Eagles’ first two League matches of the campaign. After posting a 10-kills, 15-dig double-double on Wednesday in a five-set win over UMBC, Crum scored 10 kills in Friday’s straight-sets victory at Lafayette in her team’s League opener. The senior was a main contributor on offense against Saturday with 15 kills and a .324 hitting percentage in another 3-0 win, this time at Bucknell. For the week Crum averaged 3.18 kills per set and hit .244, and upped those numbers to 4.17 and .263 against League opponents. She also averaged 2.45 digs per set across 11 sets.
MOLTEN ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KATHLEEN HARRIS, COLGATE Fr., OH, Playa del Rey, Calif.
Harris continued her strong rookie campaign with another standout week, this time averaging 2.86 kills and 3.00 digs per set as defending champion Colgate opened its League slate 2-0 with wins of 3-1 over Army on Friday and 3-0 against Holy Cross on Saturday. Harris posted her seventh double-double of the season with 13 kills and 16 digs while committing just three errors on 45 swings in Friday’s four-set win over the Black Knights. Harris saw more limited time in Saturday’s straight-sets win over the Crusaders and still accumulated seven kills and five digs while hitting .238. It’s Harris’ second weekly honor of the season.
KAYLEE FIFER, COLGATE Sr., S, Lantana, Texas
Notched a pair of double-doubles in the Raiders’ 2-0 opening weekend of League play. Logged 42 assists and 12 digs in Friday’s 3-1 win over Army, and added 19 dishes and 10 digs in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Holy Cross.
KAYLYNN GENEMARAS, LEHIGH Jr., OH, Metairie, La.
Led the Mountain Hawks in kills in both League wins, including a 16-kill performance in Saturday’s four-set win over visiting Navy. Hit .320 for the week while averaging 3.43 kills.
LAUREN ANDERSEN, LOYOLA MARYLAND Jr., S, Lakeland, Fla.
Averaged 10.71 assists and 2.71 digs per set during Loyola’s 1-1 weekend in League play. Narrowly missed a triple-double with seven kills, 48 assists and 12 digs in the Greyhounds’ four-set win at Lafayette on Saturday.
ERIN FORTNER, NAVY Sr., Opp., Villa Hills, Ky.
Hit .317 and averaged 3.57 kills and 2.00 digs per set during a 1-1 League weekend. Logged 10 kills and hit .381 in a sweep at Bucknell on Friday. Moved to eighth overall at Navy and fifth in the rally scoring era with 841 career kills.

MICHAEL McGOWAN, BUCKNELL Jr., Ardmore, Pa.
McGowan placed 38th out of 140 runners at the Boston College Coast to Coast on Friday with a time of 25:16 in the 8K race. He has been the team’s top finisher in all three meets this season. McGowan is named Patriot League M-F Athletic Male Runner of the Week for the first time.

ANNIE-NORAH BEVERIDGE, NAVY Jr., Ann Arbor, Mich.
Beveridge crossed the finish line in 35th place at the Panorama Farms Invitational on Saturday, coming in with a time of 18:09.7 in the 5K race. The 14-team event included nine teams in the latest USTFCCCA regional rankings. Beveridge extends her own record with an eighth career Patriot League M-F Athletic Female Runner of the Week award, and her third this season.

LUKE GIUGLIANO, BUCKNELL Fr., Sparta, N.J.
Giugliano helped the Bison defeat local rival Bloomsburg on Saturday by finishing second out of 22 runners with a time of 27:48.5 in the 8K Husky Invitational. He was the highest-finishing freshman in the meet as Bucknell took the top three places. Giugliano is named Patriot League M-F Athletic Male Rookie of the Week for the first time.

CATHERINE SCOTT, BUCKNELL Fr., Newtown, Pa.
Scott came in 80th place at the Boston College Coast to Coast on Friday with a time of 18:55 in the 5K race. She was the third Bison and the top Bucknell freshman to cross the line in the competition which included four nationally-ranked teams. Scott is named Patriot League M-F Athletic Female Rookie of the Week for the first time.

Pearse came in 59th place at the Boston College Coast to Coast with a time of 18:29 in the 5K race.
