Center Valley, Pa. - The NCAA Board of Directors has recently approved the slate of nominees as presented by the conferences for two councils and six cabinets in the recently adopted governance structure, and six Patriot League administrators were selected for a position on the committees.

United States Naval Academy Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk and Patriot League Associate Executive Director for Sport Management and Governance Joanna Kreps were chosen for council positions, with Gladchuk appointed to the Leadership Council and Kreps to the Legislative Council.

The 31-member Leadership Council comprises the primary advisory group to the Board of Directors on strategic and policy issues. The Legislative Council is the primary legislative body in Division I.

Representing the Patriot League as cabinet members are Holy Cross Associate Athletic Director Rose Shea, Navy Associate Athletic Director Loretta Lamar, American Associate Athletic Director Rob Acunto and Colgate Senior Associate Athletic Director Shondell Reed. Shea will serve on the Championships and Sport Management Cabinet, Lamar is on the Academic Cabinet, Acunto has been appointed to the Amateurism Cabinet and Reed has a spot on the Recruiting Cabinet.

The Championships and Sport Management Cabinet is a 31-member group that will oversee a number of committees, including all sport committees and the Football, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball Issues Committees. The Academics Cabinet assumes jurisdiction over all academic matters, except those addressed by the Committee on Academic Performance. The Amateurism Cabinet deals with all pre and post-enrollment amateurism issues. The Recruiting Cabinet assumes responsibility over all Bylaw 13 recruiting matters.
