CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for March 11-17 in men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, baseball and softball.
Bucknell sits at 2-0 in men’s lacrosse following Saturday’s 13-6 win at Lafayette, while Holy Cross defeated Navy for the first time in program history Sunday, 7-5, in the first half of the Metropolitan Lacrosse Classic at Citi Field. The third winner of a League game over the weekend was Lehigh, which captured 10-6 decision at Army Saturday.
Navy and Colgate have the early advantage in Patriot League women’s lacrosse after each moving to 2-0 in League action on Saturday, while American also claimed a victory in its League opener by beating Holy Cross 16-8.
The spring trips are over for Patriot League baseball teams, and League action is now less than two weeks away with the first pitch on March 30. Lehigh continues to play well, and the Mountain Hawks earned a pair of weekly awards on Monday.
Lehigh remains on top of the non-League softball standings at 7-7-1 and picked up two weekly awards Monday. Army secured one of the Monday nods after finishing strong at the Rebel Spring Games. Patriot League play is less than two weeks away.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
THOMAS FLIBOTTE, BUCKNELL Fr., M, Cohasset, Mass.
Flibotte had a huge week to help the Bison capture victories over nationally-ranked Drexel and Patriot League foe Lafayette. The freshman from Cohasset, Mass., started Tuesday by tying the school freshman record with six goals in a 17-8 rout of Drexel. He forced three turnovers and picked up three groundballs to go with his offensive output. Flibotte struck again Saturday at Lafayette with three more goals and a pair of groundballs in a 13-6 win over the Leopards. He now has a team-high 19 markers on the season.

MATT WARD, HOLY CROSS Sr., LSM, Massapequa, N.Y.
It was quite the homecoming for Ward, who led Holy Cross with six caused turnovers and was second on the club with five groundballs in the Crusaders’ 7-5 win over Navy in the first half of Sunday’s Metropolitan Lacrosse Classic at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y. Playing just 30 miles from home, the senior long pole helped Holy Cross earn its first victory over the Mids in 10 tries.

KYLE FEENEY, BUCKNELL Sr., GK, Greenwich, Conn.
Feeney posted a pair of 10-save outings last week for the Bison in two victories. He stopped 10 in Tuesday’s 17-8 drubbing of Drexel and added another 10 stops and posted a .625 save percentage in Saturday’s 13-6 League victory at Lafayette. For the week Feeney made 20 saves and ended up with a .588 save percentage in backstopping the Bison back into both national polls. A week after appearing at No. 18 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, Bucknell is up to No. 16 in that rankings and 15th in the USILA coaches voting.

MICHAEL ORTLIEB, HOLY CROSS Fr., GK, Newport Beach, Calif.
Ortlieb, making just his third career start, backstopped Holy Cross to a 7-5 victory over Navy Sunday at Citi Field. He made 12 saves in the contest to help stymie any offensive opportunity the Mids created in trying to rally from the two-goal deficit. Navy peppered Ortlieb with eight shots in the second quarter, with the freshman coming up with six stops. He also had three saves in the fourth quarter.

Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JASMINE DePOMPEO, NAVY Sr., A, Sayville, N.Y.
DePompeo earns the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award for the second time this season and fifth in her career after three big efforts for the Mids last week. She opened it up by scoring five goals and adding three assists in a 15-12 loss to No. 4 Northwestern in a game the Mids were tied at 10-10 midway through the second half on Monday. DePompeo tallied two goals and three assists in an 11-10 overtime win against New Hampshire on Wednesday, then put up a goal and four assists in a snow-shortened 9-3 win over Bucknell on Saturday. She has scored at least five points in eight of nine games this season, and has four in every contest with a goal and an assist in each game. DePompeo is up to seventh in Patriot League history with 266 points, and her 124 assists are just 10 shy of the League record. She leads the Patriot League and is high on the national leaderboard with 57 points and 28 assists this season.
MIDFIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANA WHITE, LAFAYETTE Jr., M, Swarthmore, Pa.
White continued her fine all-around play with four goals, eight assists, six ground balls and 13 draw controls in two games last week. Most of the damage came in a 16-6 win over Wagner on Wednesday when she put up three goals, six assists, five ground balls and seven draw controls. White also had a goal, two assists, a ground ball and six draw controls in a 19-7 loss to Delaware on Saturday. The Patriot League career record-holder in draw controls, White leads the League and ranks among the top players nationally with 55 for the season. She is named Midfield Player of the Week for the second time this season and extends her career total to nine, five more than any other player in the three-year history of the honor.

JENNA FROST, COLGATE So., D, Swarthmore, Pa.
Frost had two solid efforts in a 1-1 week for the Raiders which included a 10-9 double overtime win at Lehigh on Saturday. She had two ground balls and four caused turnovers in the victory as the Raiders moved to 2-0 in the Patriot League. Frost also totaled two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 12-7 loss to Drexel on Wednesday, and leads the Patriot League in both ground balls and caused turnovers per game for the season. Frost is named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the first time.

TEAL HARRISON, AMERICAN Fr., GK, Columbus, Ohio
Harrison picked up a pair of victories between the pipes for the Eagles last week as American earned its first two wins of the year. She stopped seven shots in a 16-4 victory over Coastal Carolina on Wednesday, and made five saves as the Eagles opened Patriot League play with a 16-8 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. Harrison made 12 saves and had a .500 save percentage for the week. She is named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the first time and is the first Eagle to claim the honor since 2010.

O’Sullivan had eight goals in two games last week, including the game-winner as part of a five-goal effort in a 10-9 double-overtime win against Lehigh on Saturday.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CASEY TURNER, LEHIGH Sr., OF, Vienna, Va.
Turner batted .556 with six runs scored and five RBIs to help Lehigh to a 2-2 record on the road last week. He was 2-for-4 with three runs scored in a 9-8 win over UNC-Greensboro on Tuesday, then went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs in a 17-8 loss at North Carolina A & T the next day. Turner was 4-for-5 in a 9-8 loss to Mount St. Mary’s on Friday and followed it up by going 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs in a 10-9 12-inning win over the Mount the next day. Turner also walked once in each game and finished with a .609 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage for the week. He is fourth in the Patriot League with a .371 batting average, and leads the way with 23 hits and 31 total bases. Turner is named Patriot League Player of the Week for the first time.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
BEN NELSON, NAVY Sr., P, Winter Springs, Fla.
Nelson continued his outstanding first month to the season by allowing just one earned run in eight innings and striking out a career-high 13 in a 6-5 win over Yale on Saturday. He scattered five hits and did not walk a batter while giving up three runs overall, but just the one earned. Nelson retired the first nine hitters of the game before a pair of Navy errors led to two runs for Yale in the fourth. Nelson allowed just four hits in his final four frames and struck out six more hitters before exiting in the ninth. Nelson is 4-1 on the season and leads the Patriot League in wins, ERA (1.30), opponent batting average (.211), innings (34.2) and strikeouts (39) while only walking three batters all season. He is named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week for the third time this year and fifth in his career.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KEVIN LONG, LEHIGH Fr., P, Hatboro, Pa.
Long tossed 5.2 solid innings with two runs allowed on four hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in a 9-8 10-inning loss to Mount St. Mary’s on Friday. He came out of the bullpen with the Mountain Hawks trailing 7-1 with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning and kept them in it until they tied the score in the ninth. The innings pitched and strikeouts were both career highs. Long ranks in the top five in the Patriot League in ERA (3.38), opponent batting average (.218) and strikeouts (18). He is Lehigh’s first Rookie of the Week since the 2011 season.

LIZ LUCAS, LEHIGH Sr., C, Westminster, Colo.
Lucas hit .450 (9-for-20) last week with one home run and nine RBIs to pace Lehigh during a 4-4 run at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. The senior signal caller hit safely in five of the eight contests, including a 3-for-3 showing with a homer and four driven in with two runs scored in a 13-2 drubbing of St. Peter’s. That round-tripper was the 23rd of her career, tying the school record and moving her into a seventh-place tie on the League’s all-time list. Lucas also added a bases-clearing double in a 7-0 shutout of North Dakota.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
EMILY BAUSHER, LEHIGH So., P, New Egypt, N.J.
Bausher went 2-1 with a measly 1.56 earned-run average and limited opposing hitters to .177 in three outings last week at the Rebel Spring Games. The sophomore went 18 innings, giving up 11 hits and finishing with a 1.00 WHIP while striking out 26, including 13 in a 7-0 complete game blanking of North Dakota. She went the distance twice, including a two-hit 4-0 shutout of Albany in which she fanned nine. Bausher now has eight career shutouts, and averaged 10.1 strikeouts per seven innings last week.

KASEY McCRAVEY, ARMY Fr., 3B, Scottsdale, Ariz.
The rookie infielder started all eight games for the Black Knights in Florida last week and was second on the team during that stretch batting .370 (10-for-27). She started the week a red-hot 4-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-6 victory over Wagner. She hit safely in six games, and had another multi-hit outing when she went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored in a 4-3 loss to Rider. He closed out the trip 1-for-3 with two more RBIs in a 5-3 victory over Green Bay. McCravey finished the week with six runs scored, one home run and nine RBI. In the field, she made just one error with 18 putouts and 16 assists.
