CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Jan. 6-12 in swimming and diving and track and field on Tuesday.

Patriot League Swimming and Diving Weekly Awards
MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
MIKE NICHOLSON, BUCKNELL Sr., Chappaqua, N.Y.
Nicholson earns his second straight Patriot League Male Swimmer of the Week award and extends his career record to 16 after two strong performances over the weekend. He placed first in the 200 fly (148.20) against Army on Saturday, with his time coming within .21 seconds of an NCAA B standard. Nicholson also won the 100 fly (49.76) and 200 IM (1:53.27) against the Black Knights and added a win in the 200 IM (1:54.95) against Binghamton on Sunday to run his season total to 26 individual event victories. Nicholson earns his fifth Patriot League Male Swimmer of the Week honor of the season, just one off the Patriot League record.

FEMALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
ARIANA BULLARD, ARMY Fr., Carmel, Ind.
Bullard had a dominant weekend for the Black Knights as she won the 200 fly, 100 fly and 200 IM against both Lehigh and Bucknell. She swam the 200 fly in 2:05.15, 100 fly in 56.69 and 200 IM in 2:09.32 in a 181-113 victory against the Mountain Hawks on Friday, then swam times of 2:04.63 in the 200 fly, 57.11 in the 100 fly and 2:08.25 in the 200 IM in a 157.5-142.5 loss to Bucknell on Saturday. She was also part of the first-place 400 medley relay team against Lehigh and winning 200 medley relay team against Bucknell. Bullard earns her second Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week award of the season.

MALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
ZACH WOODS, ARMY Jr., Collierville, Tenn.
Woods won four events over the weekend, taking first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter against Lehigh on Friday and Bucknell on Saturday. He hit NCAA qualifying standards in all four events, winning with scores of 322.20 in the 1-meter and 337.65 in the 3-meter against Lehigh and 316.05 in the 1-meter and 332.58 in the 3-meter against Bucknell. He also helped Army to team victories against both Patriot League opponents as the Black Knights topped Lehigh 196-97 and Bucknell 195-105.

FEMALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
KATIE HETHERINGTON, BUCKNELL Jr., Houston, Texas
Hetherington helped Bucknell to a narrow win at Army by winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events on Saturday. She scored 245.62 in the 1-meter and 265.12 in the 3-meter to sweep the events for the second time this season and help the Bison to a 157.5-142.5 win over Army. Hetherington is named Patriot League Female Diver of the Week for the fourth time this season and 12th in her career.

HONORABLE MENTION
TOM DUVALL, NAVY So., Durham, N.H.
Duvall won both the 500 and 1000 free against No. 11 North Carolina on Saturday and was the lone Mid to win a pair of events against the Tar Heels.

CHRIS SZEKELY, ARMY Jr., Doylestown, Pa.
Szekely won five of his six events over the weekend, sweeping the 50, 100 and 200 free against Lehigh on Friday before claiming the 50 and 100 free versus Bucknell on Saturday as Army won both meets.

EMMA LEVENDOSKI, BUCKNELL So., Madeville, La.
Levendoski won both the 100 back and 200 back to help Bucknell to a 157.5-142.5 win over Army on Saturday, and also won the 200 back against Binghamton on Sunday.

Patriot League Track and Field Weekly Awards
M-F ATHLETIC MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
KENDALL WARD, ARMY Sr. Highland Falls, N.Y.
Ward won the 5,000-meter run at the Gotham Cup in New York City with a time of 14:32.20, more than 10 seconds ahead of the IC4A qualifying standard. He is named Patriot League M-F Athletic Male Track Athlete of the Week for the first time.

M-F ATHLETIC FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JESSICA KENDZOR, LEHIGH Sr., Somers, N.Y.
Kendzor won the 500-meter run in a time of 1:18.55 and was part of the victorious 4 X 800m relay team as Lehigh took first place at the Army Four-Way Meet on Saturday. She won the 500-meter run by two seconds and Lehigh took the 4 X 800 by 24 seconds over the second-place team. Kendzor earns her first Patriot League M-F Athletic Female Track Athlete of the Week award, and the first in the indoor season for any Mountain Hawk since 2007-08.

M-F ATHLETIC MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
DERRICK PETETT, NAVY Sr., Lexington Park, Md.
Petett claims his second consecutive Patriot League M-F Athletic Male Field Athlete of the Week honor after winning the weight throw with a personal-best toss of 18.35 meters at the Navy Five-Way Meet on Saturday. He set an IC4A standard for the second consecutive week, and easily topped his mark of 17.52 meters from last week against Princeton.

M-F ATHLETIC FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ELISE BUFFINTON, LAFAYETTE Sr., Lewisburg, Pa.
Buffinton excelled in her hometown as she won the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying mark of 3.60 meters at the Bucknell Mini-Meet on Saturday. Buffinton continues to master an event that she won at last year's Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championship, and is named Patriot League M-F Athletic Female Field Athlete of the Week for the first time while becoming Lafayette's first indoor honoree of the award since the 2007-08 season.

M-F ATHLETIC MALE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
JORDAN WORTHINGTON, ARMY Fr., San Antonio, Texas
Worthington hit the IC4A standard and posted the best mark in the Patriot League this season with a pole vault of 4.80 meters at the Army Four-Way on Saturday. He helped the Black Knights to the team title while winning his first Patriot League M-F Athletic Male Rookie of the Week award.

M-F ATHLETIC FEMALE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
COURTNEY AVERY, LEHIGH Fr., Wynantskill, N.Y.
Avery placed first in the high jump at the Army Four-Way meet with an ECAC qualifying mark of 1.70 meters. She helped Lehigh to the team title and earns her first Patriot League M-F Athletic Female Rookie of the Week award.

HONORABLE MENTION
NICHOLAS PALERMO, NAVY So., Coconut Creek, Fla.
Palermo had an IC4A qualifying and personal-best time of 1:53.74 to finish first in the 800-meter run at the Navy-Five Way on Saturday.

JACOB EATON HALL, BUCKNELL Sr., Elmira, N.Y.
Eaton Hall ran an IC4A qualifying time of 22.53 seconds to win the 200-meter dash at the Bucknell Mini Meet on Saturday.

JACK FELLOWS, BUCKNELL Jr., Cumberland Center, Maine
Fellows won the weight throw at the Bucknell Mini-Meet with an IC4A mark of 17.70 meters.
