Live Chat With Lehigh Junior Quarterback Sedale Threatt

Join the Patriot League on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 12:45 p.m., for a live chat with Lehigh junior quarterback Sedale Threatt from the 2006 Patriot League Football Media Day in Bethlehem, Pa.

Please note, you may begin asking questions immediately, however Sedale will not be answering questions until August 1 at 12:45 p.m.

Jason (NYC): Sedale, as a freshman you were part of the offensive scout team. There were many times where LB #11 would pummel you into the ground. How do you contribute that learning experience to your success?
Sedale Threatt: You get banged up, but as long as you get up - that is what you learn. I learned a lot from good ole No. 11. I would say getting hit from in practice prepared me for the Patriot League's linebacker corp.

joe (ny): Sedale, what was the recruiting process like at Lehigh? Do you have any advice for a high school football player hoping to attend Lehigh University?
Sedale Threatt: The coaching tool that brought me here was to find the Lehigh experience through the student-athletes on campus. The student-athletes sold me on Lehigh, so my advice to you would be to go where the players on the team suit you, because they are the guys you will be with for four years.

Bob Bevan West Chester PA: What was the most important lesson you learned in last year's Lafayette game?
Sedale Threatt: Finish the game.

John (Norwich): How do you feel you have progressed this off-season, mentally and physically?
Sedale Threatt: I spent my entire summer in Bethlehem working out with the other athletes on campus. I've put on some weight, worked on timing with receivers, worked on my footwork and technique and I feel that I have done what I can to prepare my team to win a Patriot League championship. Mentally, I've spent a lot of time in the film room. I've got a VCR in my house, and there is always a tape in there for me to breakdown.

Ryan, Chicago: What is the attitude like in Bethlehem now that Lafayette and Colgate have the big bullseyes on their backs, and people seem to be forgetting about Lehigh?
Sedale Threatt: "Student-athletes graduate, but tradition doesn't," Coach Coen. We did not get it the last two years. Our goals are to win the Patriot League championship every year, and we fell short. We spent a lot of time this past spring and summer looking at what we did not do last season. Now that it is a new year, we are completely driven to renew the tradition that the players before us established.
Moderator: Sedale, thank you for joining us today. Good luck this season.
Sedale Threatt: Thanks for having me. Best of luck to the rest of the teams in the League. I hope God blesses you with a successful and healthy season.
Moderator: Maike Saint Germain will be joining us in about five minutes.
