| Bruce (Bayside, Queens): Are you excited about the upcoming season with your new head coach? |
Liam Grubb: I am very excited about the upcomming season. I feel the new coaching staff brings a new element to our program. The coaching staff is excited to be here, and we are excited to have them here. |
| Joe (Potomac): What changes have you seen in the Georgetown program since Kevin Kelly became head coach ? |
Liam Grubb: Coach Kelly has brought a lot of changes to both sides of the ball. I'll save the details for the season. We are not the same Georgetown team we have been in the past. |
| Sam (Bethesda): Have you kept in contact with Michael Ononibaku ? What was it like to practice against him, and how good is Alex Buzbee ? |
Liam Grubb: I have kept in contact with Mike. He is doing really well working with Citi Group In NY. Michael and Alex are both tremendous players with similar strengths in their style of play. |
| Tony (DC): What is your favorite feature of DC that you've had a chance to experience ? |
Liam Grubb: Interning on Capitol Hill this summer with the Republican Policy Committee.
The atmosphere of the city as great when I have a break from football and school. |
| Steve, D.C: Can you describe what the transition is like to learn a new off. coordinatior and the new system you'll be running? |
Liam Grubb: This is my fourth new systemt in four years, so I have grown accustom to change, and I welcome it after last year. |
| Billy, Bethesda, Md: what will be some of the Hoyas strengths? |
Liam Grubb: The Navy offense that Coach Kelly has brought from the academy. It utlizes the option. A lot of teams in the League are not used to defending it. |
| Mike, Friendship Heights, Md: who will be the team's long snapper? |
Liam Grubb: It's too early to determine long snapper. It will be something that comes about during preseason camp. |
| Chris, Arlington, Va: Has anyone ever told you you like like Billy Bob from the movie Varsity Blues? |
Liam Grubb: I have actually never been told that. Billy Bob from the movie Varsity Blues was 5'11, I am actually a slender 6'7. |
| Ryan, Chicago, IL: Besides yourself who is the best looking player on the Georgetown roster? |
Liam Grubb: Actually, I need to go back two years, because as handsome as my current teammates are, no one holds a candle to Ryan Franken. |
| Joe (nyc): You looking forward to the opener vs Holy Cross? |
Liam Grubb: Yes. Holy Cross is a team we have not beaten in my career at Georgetown. We came really close my sophomore year going to double overtime. |
| Ryan, Chicago: Is it true you once drank a whole gallon of milk in an hour? |
Liam Grubb: Yes. Milk does a body good. |
| Ryan, Chicago: Any predictions on the year? (i.e. Playoff berth?) |
Liam Grubb: A goal every year is to win the Patriot League championship. |
| Gilmore (Worcester): Tell us more about the Navy offense... |
Liam Grubb: The Navy offense is option base. |
| Ryan, Chicago: Well Liam, I wanted to wish you luck, I've heard you been working hard, you're making all the alumni proud, continue to work hard, win a Patriot League Title!
Liam Grubb: Thank you very much, alumni support is greatly appreciated. I will work hard to make you proud. Hoya Saxa! |
| Chris, Brookville: Are you afraid to play at Colgate this season? |
Liam Grubb: No. Colgate is a game I always look forward to. They are very competitive every year. I like the challenge that they and all Patriot League opponents present us. |
| Ryan, Chicago: How many guys have been around for summer workouts? Colgate said they averaged 20 players... |
Liam Grubb: We've had 40 players on campus this summer. |
| Joe (nyc): What's the temp in DC on Sept 2 for the HC game? |
Liam Grubb: Hopefully hotter than its been in Worcester. |
| D.J. (Arlington): Has a starting QB been named? |
Liam Grubb: Starting quarterback is another preseason camp question to be answered in the next few weeks. We have some talented athletes competing for the job. |
| Joe (nyc): I hear there's lots of construction on campus...is there still space for tailgating? |
Liam Grubb: Yes, as far as I know. Our fans are the 12th player on the field. |
Moderator: Liam, thank you very much for your participation today. Stay tuned for Holy Cross linebacker Dan Adams in five minutes. |
Liam Grubb: Thanks for having me. Good luck to all of the teams in the Patriot League this season. God Bless and Go Hoyas! |
