Holy Cross Ryan Taggart   8/31/10 - Football
Taggart has Giant Shoes to Fill at Holy Cross
A new era in Holy Cross football will begin Saturday. Record-setting quarterback Dominic Randolph, who led the Crusaders to a Patriot League championship and NCAA playoff berth last season, has graduated and is now with the New York Giants, and the HC offense, which averaged more than 30 points each of the last three seasons, is now under the charge of senior Ryan Taggart. Lafayette linebacker Ben Eaton   8/31/10 - Football
Lafayette's Dixon, Eaton Primed to Return to Field
Men of action don't like to sit and watch. Nate Dixon and Ben Eaton are linebackers -- by definition men of action -- who had to do just that this spring as their Lafayette College football teammates went through drills and their spring game. A bum shoulder kept Eaton out. A torn ACL sidelined Dixon. MORE [+]

Dominic Randolph   8/31/10 - Football
Randolph Ready When Needed
Most players bring helmets and pads to training camp. Dominic Randolph brought khakis and a button-down shirt. He didn't have a choice. Randolph was on vacation, catching a connecting flight to Nantucket, when he got a call from his agent saying the Giants had other plans for him. MORE [+]

Lehigh's Colvin on Road to Recovery
Mike Colvin's football career at Lehigh University got off to a fantastic start. As a freshman, the dynamic Colvin played in the first seven games of the season, seeing time mainly out of the Wildcat formation. But then on Oct. 24, Colvin's season came to an abrupt halt when he broke his leg against Bucknell University. MORE [+]

Holy Cross Mude Ohimor   8/27/10 - Football
Holy Cross' Ohimor Living Up to his Reputation
Off the field, Mude Ohimor may be mild-mannered. On the field? The Stoughton High product is anything but. A senior defensive end at Holy Cross, Ohimor has been tabbed the preseason Player of the Year by Patriot League coaches. MORE [+]

Lafayettes Pete Bross   8/25/10 - Football
Lafayette's Bross Working Hard to Beat Cancer
Pete Bross would run a 20-yard sprint and find he then needed a five-minute rest. A workout might be followed by a one-hour nap. That might not be unusual for a 70-year-old. But Bross was just 18. Finally, at the urging of his girlfriend, Breanna Mazalewski, and with the dogged reluctance of his mother, Kay, to take no for an answer, he relented and agreed to a trip to the hospital emergency room. One day later, he was in the operating room beginning a fight for his life. MORE [+]
